Hans-Peter Beier, the founder and managing partner of IBIC, has a degree in Computer Sciences with a minor in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Karlsruhe (TH).

Born in 1961, Beier has more than 20 years of international consulting experience for IT solutions and services in the fields of plant construction and mechanical engineering. The industry veteran speaks many languages and is well trusted with different corporate cultures in Europe, North America and Asia. The projects that he has previously managed range from short assignments lasting a few weeks to long-term engineering contracts over several years with a volume exceeding several million euros. The concrete project definitions include consulting and implementation services for 3D modeling and detail design as well as engineering in the areas of infrastructure, process layout, electrical equipment and instrumentation.

Beier is a highly demanded consultant who has built an excellent international reputation in the field of engineering design. Prior to establishing IBIC, he served as:

• Managing director and sales director for the Engineering Design Solutions division of a large Indian IT company, where he was responsible for all continental European business for over six years
• Global director of product management and marketing for styling and design applications at a leading American software vendor
• Director of presales and international product management for CAD applications at a renowned American IT vendor
